Happiness is Eating BiryaniJ

Our Order

Phirni

Lucknowi Biryani (Veg and Non-Veg)

Hyderabadi Biryani (Veg)

Calcutta Biryani (Non-Veg)

Veg Galauti Kebab

Chicken Seekh Kebab

Since we have many biryani aficionados in our office, we decided to order Biryani variants from Biryani By Kilo. The name sounds interesting- the portion served in the proportion of Kilos. Though in pictures the portion size looks impressive than the served.

The packaging for delivery was neat and tight in a handi (clay pot) to keep the aroma and warmth intact of biryani variants. A tea candle burner given alongside in the packing paraphernalia to keep the dishes warm does the mental trick to create an ambiance.

The handi lid is well-sealed with aata which can be difficult to open unless you follow the directions mentioned to open it.

Our Food experience

Lucknowi biryani was tasteful with the right mix of authentic flavours that melted in the mouth.

Calcutta biryani may be a little disappointing, especially for those who relish spicy mix. To us, it seemed to be bland and a Bengali from Kolkatta in our team found biryani taste distant from authentic Kolkatta biryani creation.

Hyderabadi biryani was best out of the lot with the authentic aroma and aptly done flavours (both veg and non-veg) and rightly cooked meat.

The Salan and Raita were tasteful, but the quantity was less for one Kilo of Biryani!

Chicken Seekh Kebab lacked in flavour and texture; it was tasteless and devoid of any spicy fragrance. By the time it was delivered it was already cold.

Galauti Kebab, however, were the best deal of the day, with correct flavour and texture.

Best is kept for the last, the food crown was taken by Phirni. Smooth texture, the apt sweetness, and the consistency could not have been better. It was a perfect way to end our Biryani meal.

The delivery system is easy to order with preferences. Keep the margin of a few minutes when placing the order, it may take more than its ETA.
