Vintage romance of the road crafted by Radisson Blu

Every few years, a trend resurfaces with enough charm to transcend nostalgia and become the moment. This season, it’s vintage polished chrome, white-wall tyres, leather-scented cabins, and the timeless poetry of the open road.

Tapping into this spirit beautifully, Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport and Radisson Gurugram, Udyog Vihar, orchestrated a spectacular throwback to the golden era of travel with The Great Radisson Road Trip, a vintage car rally that transformed NH-8 into a moving museum of motoring heritage.

Organised in association with the Heritage Motoring Club of India (HMCI), the rally reflected Radisson Hotel Group’s ongoing flair for creating experiences that go far beyond conventional hospitality. Whether it’s immersive brunches, themed pop-ups, or destination-inspired events, Radisson Blu has consistently led the way with concepts that are imaginative, elevated, and effortlessly engaging. This rally was yet another example of the brand’s signature mastery in curating engaging shows and experiences. This time, it was nostalgia met modern elegance, and guests were invited to step into a world where travel still felt like a grand adventure.

Reliving royal tales

The day began at Radisson Gurugram, Udyog Vihar, where participants assembled over a hearty breakfast, surrounded by gleaming beauties from another era. From there, a convoy of perfectly restored vintage cars rolled out onto the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway, their engines humming with history and heart. The journey culminated at Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport, where an elegant finale brunch awaited a thoughtfully curated experience celebrating delicate flavours, iconic automobiles, and the irresistible joy of travel.

“The Great Radisson Road Trip was a celebration of journeys, those that take us across places and those that connect people,” says Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director & COO, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group.

For Radisson Gurugram, Udyog Vihar, the event was a proud moment. “The rally represented a coming together of community and passion for travel, classic automobiles, and exceptional food,” shares Namit Vijh, General Manager. “We were delighted to host the flag-off and be part of a journey that celebrates craftsmanship and connection in true Radisson style.”

At the destination end, Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport elevated the experience with its signature finesse. “The event perfectly captured our brand’s essence; timeless, elegant, and full of character,” says Ashwni Goela, Vice President Operations & Area General Manager, South Asia. “Hosting the finale brunch allowed us to honour both heritage and contemporary luxury.”

What made the event truly special wasn’t just the cars or the cuisine; it was the feeling it reignited. “In an age defined by speed, convenience, and digital everything, Radisson Blu offered guests a rare, romantic pause,” adds Simmi Sood, Director, PR & Marketing, Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport.

It’s time for slow travel! To enjoy the moment and craftsmanship. To beauty that was built, not bought. To journeys that were as important as destinations. As vintage charm sweeps its way back into lifestyle trends.
