Sri Radha Gopinath Temple of ISKCON Sector is geared up for the Maha Abhishekh of the Lord on 19th August 2022.

As the festive season is returned with a bang after the Covid-19 situation last two years, this year’s celebrations look special. ISKCON temple in sector 45 has organised three-day festivities to mark the occasion.

Programme schedule

“This year we will celebrate the occasion for three days. Day one, on 17th August, was Sangh Kirtan, Krishna Katha, and Cultural Programme. On 18th August, Jhulan, a cultural programme followed by Sangh Kirtan and Krishna teachings, would keep the devotees busy.

The much-awaited Janmashtami celebration begins early on the day with Mangal Aarti, Bhoga Aarti, Kalash Abhishek and Mahaabhishek at midnight. For online participation in the Aarti, devotees can log on to www.iskcongurugram45.com and book their Aarti and Sew,” said Achyut Hari Das, President ISKCON Sector 45 Temple Gurugram.

“We have made huge security arrangements so devotees can have Darshan of the Lord Smoothly. Chappan Bhoga will be offered to the Lord after the Mahaabhishek arrives at midnight. “All the five ingredients used to make Panchamrit hold their unique significance. Milk represents purity and piousness, while ghee is for strength and victory. As bees produce honey, it stands for dedication and unity. Sugar is about sweetness and bliss, while curd indicates prosperity,”shared Achyut Hari Das.

The ISKCON Sector 45 Gurugram congregation has a great and rich history. From a small gathering of people that started about 20 years ago, the ISKCON Gurugram has come a long way by transforming itself from a small preaching centre to a full-fledged temple.

The congregational activities include Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra, value-education programs, Mantra meditation, vegetarian Karma-free cooking, distribution of free Prasad to the destitute and homeless under ISKCON’s Food for Life Programme, distribution of Vedic books, Kirtan concerts, Harinam Sankirtan in the streets, and sunday feast programmes.
