DPS Sector 45 Celebrates Founder’s Day with Purpose and Pride
Delhi Public School, Sector 45, Gurgaon, recently celebrated its 24th Founder’s Day, SAHYOG: A Coming Together of Hope. It was a heartening tribute to the school’s founding vision of education with empathy. The celebration was graced by the school’s revered patrons, Ms Dhara Jaipuria and Ravi Jaipuria, and its dynamic Pro Vice Chairperson, Ms Devyani Jaipuria, whose presence reaffirmed the school’s enduring commitment to holistic learning and social responsibility.
Under the dynamic leadership of Director Principal Ms Aditi Misra, DPS Gurgaon continues to redefine the essence of education — seamlessly blending academic excellence with compassion, creativity, and community engagement. With over three decades of experience as an educator and an unwavering spirit of innovation, Ms Misra has steered the school’s flagship philanthropic initiative, Shiksha Kendra, towards greater impact each year, infusing it with renewed purpose and ever-expanding milestones.
Shiksha Kendra: A Milestone of Philanthropy
What began as a modest initiative with just twenty students has today blossomed into Shiksha Kendra, a thriving afternoon school for children from marginalised communities. It stands as a significant philanthropic milestone in the school’s journey, embodying the true spirit of inclusivity and shared growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Devyani Jaipuria shared her pride in this journey of empowerment. “Sahyog is not just a celebration, it is a reflection of unity, strength, and compassion,” she said. “True success lies in making a positive difference in the lives of others.”
Carrying forward the legacy of Ravi and Dhara Jaipuria, the founders of the DPS Gurgaon institution, Devyani Jaipuria continues to transform education into a comprehensive 360-degree experience, nurturing both intellect and empathy. Her leadership demonstrates how education can serve as a bridge between privilege and purpose.
Senior leaders from other Jaipuria schools attended the event to support and draw inspiration from the initiative of bringing the rights of education to every doorstep. The Founder’s Day was not merely a celebration of the school’s past; it was a reaffirmation of its future: an institution where education transcends classrooms and transforms lives. Through Sahyog, the DPS fraternity continues to embody the ideal that holistic education enlightens minds and touches hearts.
A Celebration of Gratitude and Togetherness
The day unfolded with a soulful choir performance and the felicitation of administrative staff, long-serving teachers, and parent representatives. It was a tribute to those who form the backbone of the school community. The audience was captivated by the vibrant dance performances of Chaturang and Eklavya, as well as the creative fashion walk, Rainbow Runway: Walk With Me, which symbolised colour, inclusivity, and confidence. The management, teachers, and patrons walked the ramp with children from Shiksha Kendra.

The celebrations seamlessly flowed into the inauguration of a Fete. The Mela opened with a powerful street play promoting empathy, followed by a spirited flash mob that brought the festive spirit alive. The campus radiated joy, adorned with Rangoli, Diyas, floral décor, and lights. Laughter and music filled the air. Visitors enjoyed joy rides, food stalls, games, and artisanal shopping.
Importantly, the proceeds from the event are dedicated to Shiksha Kendra, reinforcing the school’s belief that celebration finds its highest expression in giving.
A Legacy of Learning and Compassion
In her heartfelt Vote of Thanks, Aditi Misra expressed gratitude to the staff, parents, and students for their unwavering spirit of cooperation. “Abundance,” she reminded, “lies not in what we receive, but in what we acknowledge.”
