If women can wear menswear then men wearing coloured pants sort of balances the whole scale. Here’s a way to add colour to your wardrobe

Coloured pants are surely meant for braveheart men who are confident and can make an extra effort to look good. “It’s been my life long belief that if you cannot look after yourself then you certainly cannot look after anyone else.’’

To wear coloured pants it is important that the guy is comfortable with the colour that he decides to flaunt. “Once you are mentally comfortable in your coloured pants, which is the highlight of your attire and your look, go easy to accessorise it.’’

How fashionable are you?

If you’re a true fashionista, then you may want to pair your coloured pants with other colours. To experiment with different colours in your single dressy look you should be certain that the look you have dawned suits your personality. So stark colours are not meant for guys who avoid being the centre of attraction.

“Do not make an overdose of colours. Just wearing one matching colour, and you’ll make enough of a statement,’’

Jattinn Kochhar, Fashion Designer

Colours like white, beige, black, grey melange and in some cases browns are sure shot colours that work with coloured pants.

Slim fit shirts, slim fit tee shirts (short sleeve / full sleeve) look the best when teamed with the coloured pants.

Selecting the right colour is the trick, yellow, salmon and electric blue are great summer colours, but this season, try something a little darker and muted. Think dark purple, tan, forest green, navy, and burgundy. These colours were all over the fashion runways, and jewel tones help you show your true confidence because of the luxe, yet subtle nature of the tones.

Get a perfect fit

The coloured pants tend to draw more attention hence your pant must have a good fitting to make the right fashion statement. Go up a size if the pants appear to be too tight in the crotch area. When in doubt, straight-leg or boot-cut styles tend to be the most flattering because they create the illusion of a straight line on your bottom half, elongating your body.

Your shoe style

Appropriate footwear shall surely nail the whole look in place. Moccasins, loafers in neutral shades would be just fine.
